What the Field Adjuster Does

  • Verify and document whether a General Condition of Flooding occurred.
  • Inspect the property and document visible flood-related damages.
  • Prepare an itemized estimate of covered flood-related damages based on like kind and quality.
  • Submit findings and recommendations to the insurance Carrier.

What the Field Adjuster Cannot Do

  • The field adjuster cannot approve or deny coverage.
  • The field adjuster cannot authorize payment.
  • The field adjuster does not issue payments.
  • Payments are issued by the insurer, and the adjuster’s recommendations are subject to Carrier review and approval.
