Commercial Building Coverage Note
General reminder that a General Property policy is written for one specific insured building/structure.
One Building Policy Concept
- Under the SFIP General Property Form, each policy is generally written for one specific commercial building or structure.
- Coverage applies to the building specifically described in the Flood Insurance Application and Declarations.
Practical Meaning
- If a commercial location has multiple separate buildings on the same parcel, the policy may cover only the building listed or identified on the policy.
- To insure multiple structures, separate SFIP policies are typically required, one per structure.
