A checklist of documents commonly needed to complete commercial General Property flood claims.
When This Applies
- This checklist applies primarily to commercial General Property claims or other business/entity claims.
- Not every item applies to every claim. Provide the documents that apply to your ownership, occupancy, mortgage, contents, stock, or business/entity situation.
Commonly Required Documents
- Articles of Incorporation, if applicable, filed with the Secretary of State.
- LLC Articles, Certificate of Formation, or similar entity formation documents, if applicable.
- Deed or other proof of ownership of the insured real property.
- Purchase orders, books of account, inventory records, or other proof of ownership for personal property and/or stock.
- Rental or lease agreement, if tenant occupied, for building and/or contents as applicable.
- Mortgage information, to confirm whether the mortgage applies to building and/or contents.
- All other insurance policy declarations pages and relevant policy pages showing flood coverage or exclusion of flood coverage.
- Operating Agreement or other documentation showing who is authorized to sign and/or make decisions on the entity’s behalf.
